Georganics is an eco-friendly company working to eliminate harsh chemicals in oral care products by
using all-natural ingredients. The UK-based company also strives to reduce plastic waste with
environmentally responsible packaging.
Georganics products are fluoride free and are never tested on animals.
We tried several Georganics’ products including their toothpaste tablets and mineral toothpaste in “English Peppermint” flavor, along with spearmint flavored oil pulling mouthwash, and mouthwash tablets. We put these products to work paired with the company’s Natural Beech Toothbrushes.
Natural Beech Toothbrush
The toothbrush handle is made of 100% beechwood, so when the bristles start to fray you can just snap off the head and compost the handle. When you collect 10 toothbrush heads or more, you can mail them back for free and Georganics will recycle them as a part of their Zero Waste box solution. The bristles are BPA free, and Georganics’ Zero Waste box solution ensures that the products are disposed of properly. Our only concern was that the medium bristles were too stiff; we’d recommend the soft version.
Toothpaste Tablets: (English Peppermint)
Our first reaction was that these tablets are extremely convenient, especially for travel and on-the-go lifestyles. They do take a little bit of getting used to, but only because Georganics’ toothpastes do not foam up like a normal toothpaste. We’ve all been trained to think we need the foam for a clean mouth and it’s just not the case. The sodium bicarbonate taste can be a little strange at first, but after a few uses you hardly even notice it. Despite the immediate burst of saltiness, after brushing our teeth felt extra fresh and clean.
Mineral Toothpaste: (English Peppermint)
The mineral toothpaste comes in a glass tub and is similar in consistency to normal toothpaste. We found that the flavor to be pleasant, and after brushing, we all agreed that our mouths were left feeling sparkling clean. We would best describe this product as “refreshing”.
Mouthwash Tablets: (Spearmint)
With the mouthwash bites, all you need to do is dissolve one tablet into 2 oz of water, and swish for 30 seconds—just like more popular mouthwash products. With the mouthwash, we loved that we were able to achieve such a crisp, clean feeling similar to the feeling expected from a synthetic mouthwash, but without all the bulk and carbon footprint of a large jug of fluid.
Oil Pulling Mouthwash: (Spearmint)
Oil pulling is an ancient remedy claimed to improve oral health, including whitening teeth and improving gum health and freshen your breath. The term “oil pulling” comes from the theory that it is pulling the bacteria out of your mouth. Bacteria in your mouth leads to plaque buildup. The Georganics Oil Pulling mouthwash has a pleasant mild minty flavor, and a smooth consistency. After 10 minutes of oil pulling, my mouth felt fresh and clean.
Cons
We don’t have much in the negative column. The products can take a bit of time to adjust to, but it’s different rather than unpleasant.
Final Thoughts
Their selection of products is great, their packaging was thoughtful, and eco-friendly. Not only do they use nature-based materials, but they also are doing big things for helping minimize waste.
Additionally, Georganics’ products look very classy in the bathroom. No more obnoxious bulky toothpaste tubes, the design is sleek and neutral looking. Also, no more blue toothpaste snakes/residue inside the sink. Georganics’ Toothpaste and mouthwash tablets are way less “messy”, especially for families with kids.
Our favorite thing about Georganics is all the natural products used, to achieve the same clean mouth feeling you can expect from a synthetic oral care product.
Overall, we really enjoy all the Georganics’ products that we have tried. When it comes to making eco -friendly choices for your oral care products, Georganics ensures that you never have to compromise quality. Georganics is This Kind Planet approved.
